Terms of Service

These terms explain how you may use Cake Day Gifts. By using the app, you agree to use it lawfully, keep your account secure, and understand that reminders, AI suggestions, and gift ideas are helpful tools rather than guaranteed outcomes.
Using The App
Cake Day Gifts helps you save birthdays, set reminders, create message suggestions, organise gift ideas, and prepare structured Celebration Briefs. You are responsible for the information you add and for checking reminders, messages, plans, and suggestions before relying on them.
Your Account
You must provide accurate account information and keep your sign-in method secure. You may delete your account from the app's Privacy & Data screen.
Acceptable Use
- Do not use the app for unlawful, abusive, misleading, or harmful activity.
- Do not upload content that violates another person's rights or privacy.
- Do not try to reverse engineer, scrape, attack, or overload the app or backend.
- Do not use AI suggestions to impersonate, harass, deceive, or harm others.
AI Suggestions
AI-generated messages, gift directions, and Celebration Briefs are suggestions only. You should review and edit them before sending or acting. AI suggestions may be processed by Anthropic Claude through our backend after you request them. We do not guarantee accuracy, suitability, price, availability, delivery, safety, or continuous access. Check relevant age labels, allergies, supervision needs, accessibility, venue rules, and professional guidance yourself.
Local Plans And Retailer Links
Celebration Concierge plans are saved on your device unless the app clearly says otherwise. You can export or delete them through the app. Optional retailer links are for physical goods, open outside the app, and include an affiliate disclosure before the link when Cake Day may earn a commission. Retailer details are controlled by the retailer and may change.
Purchases And Subscriptions
Paid features are purchased through Apple's App Store payment system. Apple handles billing, renewals, cancellations, and refunds under Apple's terms. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel subscriptions through your Apple ID subscription settings.
Reminders And Notifications
Reminders depend on your device settings, permissions, connectivity, operating system behaviour, and the information you enter. We work to make reminders reliable, but we cannot guarantee that every reminder will arrive at a specific time.
Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains what data we collect and how we use it.
Changes To The Service
We may update, improve, pause, or remove features as needed. We may also update these terms. If changes are material, we will take reasonable steps to make them visible.
Disclaimers
The app is provided as is and as available. To the maximum extent allowed by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
Limitation Of Liability
To the maximum extent allowed by law, Cake Day Gifts and its operator will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost data, lost profits, missed reminders, or missed celebrations.
